These are a relatively new device I found. You’ve all seen the larger data loggers with the breadboarding area that plug directly into the top of the Arduino and create a shield. I thought this little logger was far more practical and could be used with a variety of devices and not just limited to Arduino, as it breaks out the necessary pins you need. Most of it looks like standard I2C and SPI so how hard can it be, right? )
The board has a battery backed RTC on it. Using the DS1307 not the most advanced clock chip in the world, but it does the job. The SD card slot allows you to save the data you are recording.
